It seems like each time I’m out on the road I experience at least one act of tailgating. I honestly do not understand people who tailgate. What is their hurry? Do they not know that it’s more safe to follow at least 2 seconds behind another driver? My dad tailgates. For him, I believe, it is an expression of impatience. Wikipedia gives an excellent description of tailgating and it’s possible causes for people to tailgate. I also believe tailgating is bad for the environment. It is a waste of gasoline as most speed up and then slow down quickly. Shame on you tailgaters!
