This past week I took a step into the world of MySpace. I work with high schoolers, and MySpace has become a big part of their culture. That and Xanga. I figured it was time that I understood this whole MySpace thing. So now I’m on and you can see my profile here.

The system itself is not that great. It’s sometimes slow and annoying to operate. The ads are terrible. All dating service type ads.

There are some cool features, like being able to search people that went to school with you. Seeing people from high school has been interesting. I currently have zero friends. Having a lot of friends seems to be the ultimate goal on MySpace. I’ll let you know how it goes after a few weeks of being on it.
